Great invention that worked especially for my wife. We moved from Orlando to Michigan for my job and our first winter was dark and miserable, spent cooped up in our condo. Depression set in and fun went away. How do people live like that. We found out about sunlight affective disorder. We are now back in Florida, but for three years it worked great. It is stored in a place of honor, awaiting future need. That is if we are ever dumb enough to return north during Jan-March. I still can't believe how much better I feel. When I bought this Verilux VT05FWW1 Happy Light, I thought I just had a little bit of the 'winter blahs'.

As for those who are complaining about the paint being chipped. Mine came with a small area of paint chipping off the switch area. I really don't care.
